Paper Stores Raises Over $30K to Help Cancer Victims & Families

The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) is thrilled to announce that The Paper Store, the largest family owned and operated chain of specialty gift stores in New England, has raised over $30,000 for the Foundation to assist in its mission of providing emotional and financial support to cancer patients and their families.

In less than two full weeks, The Paper Store was able to raise the impressive amount of money by selling JAF decals for a $1, $3 or $5 donation with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Foundation. This donation from The Paper Store will allow the Foundation to directly support more than 40 new individuals through JAF’s financial assistance program, which provides grants that help patient families with everyday expenses, including rent and mortgage payments, utility bills, and more.

“We are blown away by the generosity of The Paper Store’s customers and are beyond grateful to The Paper Store for not only fundraising, but for also sharing JAF’s mission throughout the communities in which they operate” said Joe Andruzzi, Foundation President.

From April 14th through April 24th, The Paper Store sold the JAF decals at all 59 of their locations throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island and New Jersey.

“I am so proud of our customers and store associates for supporting JAF. The amount we raised to help local families battling cancer was simply amazing,” said Tom Anderson, COO of The Paper Store. “As a family-run business, we feel it is our responsibility to help others and we are proud of the partnership we have with the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. I thank everyone who worked so hard to make this a success.”
