AG Maura Healey Endorses Burke for Mayor

Mayoral candidate Stephanie Muccini Burke has received the endorsement of Attorney General Maura Healey, joining a growing list of community leaders who support her candidacy.

Stephanie Muccini Burke is a Certified Public Accountant, with experience as a self-employed small business owner, a tax manager with a “Big 6” accounting firm, and a corporate controller for a multi-state corporation. Most recently, Muccini Burke serve as the Director of Budget and Personnel for the City of Medford, where she was responsible for a major capital improvement plan, including district-wide technology upgrades, a new public works facility, and a Medford High School science lab. Under her leadership, the City of Medford earned an elevated bond rating. Mucking Burke previously served as a Medford City Councilor, leading the Small Restaurant Initiative for beer and wine licenses and working hand-in-hand with the Chamber of Commerce to revamp the City’s sign ordinance. And Muccini Burke also served as Commissioner of the Mystic Valley Development Commission, completing the Master Plan for the 30 acre mixed-use Rivers Edge project located just north of the Wellington MBTA station. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University, and her Master’s degree in Taxation from Bentley University.
