Softball Team Advances in State Tournament

The Medford Mustang softball team handily defeated its first two opponents in the state tournament and has advanced to the quarter final round. Medford, 13-7 and seeded twelfth out of twenty-five teams heading into the tournament, shut out Beverly (11-9, #21) 4-0 on Friday at home and upset fifth seed Lowell (16-4) 3-1 on the road on Sunday.
