The Lady Mustang softball team finished the regular season on Saturday with a 3-0 win over defending Eastern Mass Division 1 North Champion Revere.

Ashley Eisnor racked up her thirteenth win of the season on the mound. She pitched a three hitter, striking out nine and walking none.

The Lady Mustangs were in a scoreless dual until the 6th inning when junior Renee Staude reached base on a fielder’s choice, stole second base, and scored on junior Gigi Braga’s single. Braga then stole second and third and scored on an over-throw, according to Head Coach Jack Dempsey.

Senior captain Brianna Napoleone drove home the third run with a sharp single that scored fellow senior captain Bailey Flynn, who got into scoring position by stealing second base after her bunt single. Freshman Halle Farrell banged out two hits while Napoleone, Braga, and Eisnor all chipped in with one apiece, said Coach Dempsey.

Medford is 13-7 overall and 5-1 heading into the state tournament. Medford hosts Beverly at 4 PM Friday at Columbus Park.
