Mustang Softball, Baseball Teams Earn GBL Titles; Prepare for State Tourney

The Mustang baseball and softball teams are both repeat Greater Boston League champions.

The baseball team earned its second straight title and has a 5-1 GBL record. Medford will wrap up the season on the road against Greater Lawrence on Friday. The Mustangs, 13-6 overall, are awaiting state tournament seedings and are hoping for a home game.

The softball team has clinched its third straight GBL title. Medford, 5-1 in the GBL and 11-7 overall, should find out its state tournament fate on May 31, according to Coach Jack Dempsey.
