Mustang Baseball Team Dedicates Season to Bill Monbouquette

On Sunday the Medford High School baseball team dedicated its season to Medford native and former pro ball player Bill Monbouquette. “Monbo”, as he was affectionately known locally, passed away in January at the age of 78. The former Red Sox pitcher, who famously tossed a no-hitter against the Chicago White Sox over fifty years ago, continued to be actively involved with Mustang sports and was often seen at baseball games and other events. Members of his family, including his wife, Josephine, son, Marc, daughter-in-law, Juli-anne, and twin grandsons, Cam and Matty, participated in the ceremony dedicating the season in his honor.
