Ashley Eisnor

Medford junior captain Ashley Eisnor opened up the softball season in amazing fashion with a dominating no-hitter that included fourteen strikeouts and no walks against Greater Boston League arch rival Malden. The Mustangs defeated the Golden Tornadoes, last season’s league co-champ, 9-0, on April 15.

Brianna Napoleone

Senior captain Brianna Napoleone made the defensive play of the game in Medford’s 4-3 win over Revere April 16. She turned her diving stop of a line drive into a double play to help the Mustangs hang onto the victory.

Medford defeated Swampscott and Arlington Catholic in the second annual Krystle Campbell softball tournament on April 18 and 19. Eisnor was the tournament MVP.

Campbells and Julia Kearney

The Krystle Campbell softball tournament is held in honor of Campbell and is a fundraiser for a scholarship at MHS in her name. Her parents, Patty and Bill, embraced senior captain Julia Kearney after she made some remarks and was part of a presentation to the Campbells that included signed balls from the girls and photos from a trip to Fenway last year.
