Medford to Receive State Funding for Street, Sidewalk Repair

Second Assistant Majority Leader Paul J. Donato and his colleagues in the Medford State Delegation, Senator Patricia Jehlen, Representative Sean Garballey and Representative Christine Barber, are pleased to announce the appropriation of $950,635 to the City of Medford in Chapter 90 Funding. The funds are issued from the Transportation Bond and will provide for emergency street and sidewalk repair.

“The State Legislature recognized the adverse effect this past winter had on our city’s infrastructure as well as on the DPW budget,” said Leader Donato. “These funds will go a long way in helping Medford residents see necessary street and road repairs.”

“Hopefully this funding alleviates some of the pressure that repairing the costly damage caused by this winter’s weather has put on the city’s budget,” said Senator Jehlen.

“After a record breaking winter, this funding will go a long way in alleviating some of the infrastructural woes Medford faces by addressing the damage done to our streets and sidewalks,” said Representative Sean Garballey.

“After such a difficult winter, I’m pleased that we are able to provide funds to Medford to do necessary road repairs and keep residents safe,” said Representative Christine Barber.
