Rep. Donato Appointed to Leadership Position

State Representative Paul J. Donato of (D- Medford/Malden) was appointed Second Assistant Majority Leader of the House of Representatives by a unanimous vote of the members of the House Democratic Caucus on Thursday, February 26th. The move elevates Donato to the number four position in the House leadership structure.

“Leader Donato is a trusted member of the House leadership team who has a long track record of being an effective legislator,” said Speaker of the House Robert A. DeLeo. “Leader Donato often presides over the session and in this regard has distinguished himself as a consensus builder with deep respect for his peers.” DeLeo further states, “Paul’s work on behalf of his constituents mark his true nature, someone who is never afraid to stand up and fight for what he knows is right, and with his background in local politics, his experience and counsel on municipal matter is invaluable.”
