Heavy Rain Floods Local Roads

Heavy rain on Wednesday afternoon quickly overwhelmed local roads, including Medford Square in front of City Hall (pictured below), Harvard Street, Route 128, and Route 1, among many more. The area is under a Flash Flood Warning until 5:30PM and a Flash Flood Watch until 8PM.

The flooded road in Medford Square was clear around 5pm, according to local officials.

The heavy rain has also closed Wright’s Pond due to bacteria levels and Medford’s athletic fields. The closings are in effect until further notice. There should be an update about athletic fields on Thursday.
