Two Tufts University students were injured in Monday’s blast, according to information released by the school.

Their injuries were non life-threatening. The students were spectators at the race. Every year Tufts has dozens of runners and volunteers participating in the marathon. In a statement on Monday night, the school said all members of its marathon team are “home and recovering.”

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the members of our community who are coping with the tragedy at the Boston Marathon,” said President Anthony Monaco in a statement. “Tufts University has always had a special connection to the Boston Marathon as many members of our community join as runners, spectators and volunteers for the support tents.”

Tufts is posting updates online at http://announcements.tufts.edu/.

The campus is open on Tuesday.
