Tufts Informs Locals of End of Year Events

To Medford and Somerville Residents:

Tufts University is preparing for its annual end-of-year celebrations. There will be a number of events taking place on campus during the weekend of April 26th – 27th, 2013. As in years past, the Tufts University Spirit Coalition and Tufts University Entertainment Board are hosting a Tuftonia’s Day carnival and fireworks display on the evening of Friday, April 26th (Rain date: Sunday, April 28th). In addition, the Tufts University Concert Board is sponsoring a Spring Fling concert on Saturday, April 27th. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of our plans and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Tuftonia’s Day will include a BBQ, music, and carnival events from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM on Fletcher Field on the Medford/Somerville Campus. The fireworks show by Berkshire Fireworks will take place from about 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM. We invite all residents to watch the display and enjoy the celebration!

Spring Fling will take place on the President’s Lawn on the Medford/Somerville Campus. This outdoor concert consists of 4 bands performing from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The event is open to Tufts University students only. There will be a sound check on Saturday morning around 10:00 AM.
