Pop Warner Opens Season, Honors Past President

On Sunday morning Medford Pop Warner officially opened up its season with a special tribute to past president Guy Martorana, who recently passed away. “Under his leadership over 30+ years, countless numbers of children passed through the ranks of Medford Pop Warner and were positively influenced by Mr. Martorana,” said a team statement. The league’s kids lined up together on the field prior to game time to recognize Martorano. The Medford Colts hosted Somerville in their first games of the season, which were held on the new turf field installed at Hormel Stadium.
