Councilor Caraviello and Sen. Brown

US Senator Scott Brown was endorsed today by a number of local elected officials, including Medford City Councilor Rick Caraviello.

“As a lifelong Democrat, I am proud to support Senator Scott Brown in his re-election bid,” said Councilor Caraviello in a campaign statement. “As a small business owner, it is important to me that Senator Brown continues to fight to reduce the regulations that suppress small business owners from growing in this difficult economy. During his time in office, Senator Brown has worked tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts and I believe he will continue to do so. His record of bipartisan accomplishments in just two short years is truly impressive.”

“It is an honor to receive the endorsement of Democratic City Councilor Rick Caraviello,” said Senator Brown in his statement. “It is important for Republicans and Democrats to work together to tackle the very serious challenges before us and move our nation forward. Support from Democrats like Councilor Caraviello shows that progress is possible through bipartisanship.”

According to information released by Senator Brown’s campaign, Caraviello, in his first term as a Medford City Councilor, is a “lifelong Democrat.” The owner of RC Limo Service, Caraviello is an active community member and previously served as past president and Executive Director of the Medford Chamber of Commerce.

Sen. Brown, a Republican, is running for re-election. He is being challenged by Democrat Elizabeth Warren. The election is in November.
