Short Sale Seminar July 10

Cindy Dell'Isola and Michelle Machado MoreiraRealtor Cindy Dell’Isola, Attorney Michelle Machado Moreira to Focus on Soon-to-Expire Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007

On Tuesday, July 10 at 7:00pm, Cindy Dell’Isola, a REALTOR with ERA Andrew Realty, and Attorney Michelle Moreira of the Law Offices of Michelle Machado Moreira, P.C. will conduct an informative real estate seminar on short sales with specific emphasis on the soon-to-expire Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007.

The seminar will be held at the Medford Fire Station 5, Zero Medford Street (at the intersection of Main Street and Medford Street), Medford.

Passed by Congress in late 2006, the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007 was intended to give homeowners who were having difficulty paying their mortgage some tax relief. The law, enacted in December of 2007, provides relief to troubled borrowers when some portion of their debt is forgiven through a short sale if their property is owner-occupied. A short sale occurs when a borrower owes more than the property is worth and works out a deal with the bank to forgive the remaining debt. The Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007 and relief it provides expires this December 31, 2012.

Presently, some major banks are offering “relocation assistance payments.” In some instances, sellers facing a short sale situation may receive increased incentives, in some cases as high as $25,000.

Time is of the essence. If you or someone you know is having difficulty meeting the obligations of their mortgage, or if you simply want to learn more about the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007 and short sales, please reserve your space today.

The seminar is free and seating is limited. To reserve your space, please contact Cindy Dell’Isola no later than July 9th at 781-632-7148 or Cindy.Dell’Isola@gmail.com.
