Join Green Up Clean Up for its first Interfaith organized cleanup this weekend! Grace Episcopal Church and Temple Shalom, both of Medford, will be joining forces with support form the City of Medford to clean up Victory Park. Victory Park is on Winthrop Street in Medford and the clean up will be Sunday, June 10th from 2 to 4 PM.

Come help out, support the effort and learn more about our efforts to improve Medford’s parks and open spaces. Victory Park will be used the following weekend by the Medford Family Network for their annual Teddy Bear Picnic, so efforts will be focused on making sure the spaces they use will be free of glass and ready for small children.

The following weekend, Green Up Clean Up is working with residents of the Capen Street area, the Medford Family Network and the City of Medford, with sponsorship from Whole Foods and Magnificent Muffin, to do a major clean up of the Capen Street Park. This park is a large park with a sprinkler system for children to play in. If you have not seen Capen Street Park, take this opportunity to come check it out and lend a hand, Saturday, June 16 from 9AM-12PM.

So far this season the Green Up Clean Up Program has organized or assisted with six community clean ups in Medford, with over 200 volunteers participating.
