Public Meeting on Liquor Licenses May 15

The Medford City Council will hold a Committee of the Whole meeting on Tuesday, May 15 to discuss liquor licenses in Medford.

The purpose of the meeting is to gather feedback from citizens and business owners on a proposal to reduce the seating capacity from 99 seats to 50 seats for businesses seeking a liquor license in Medford. The move would require a home rule petition first approved by the City Council and then sent to the state legislature and Governor for approval.

The Council has asked City Solicitor Mark Rumley, representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, and members of the License Commission to attend the meeting.

The meeting, postponed from Tuesday, May 1, is taking place at 6:00PM in the Council Chambers at Medford City Hall.
