‘Medford Starts with Me’ Campaign Launches

Incoming Chamber of Commerce President Charlotte Scuderi Will Announce the Campaign at Annual Installation and Awards Dinner Friday

Medford Starts with Me logoMedford is a great community. Medford has so many “hidden gems:” our abundant natural spaces, our long and fascinating history, a downtown area rich with possibilities, diverse neighborhoods with unique appeal, a wealth of people and groups doing things that turn a place into a community.

The “Medford Starts with Me” campaign is being launched to increase awareness of the greatness of Medford and to inspire people in our community to make it even greater. “Medford Starts With Me” is a message of community and pride. It’s also a rallying cry and a call to action— motivating people from all parts of the Medford community to do their unique part to make Medford the best it can be. It sends a simple message: “Medford is important to me, and I am important to Medford.”

The “Medford Starts with Me” campaign will encourage people throughout Medford to get involved in projects and organizations that bring our community together and make it a better place. Everyone can be a part of “Medford Starts with Me:” schools and religious organizations, local businesses, grassroots groups, service organizations, Medford City Hall, and of course residents— everyone who wants Medford to be the best it can be.

Charlotte Scuderi, a realtor with ERA Andrew Realty in Medford Square and a longtime Medford resident, plans to announce the “Medford Starts with Me” campaign at her induction as President of the Chamber of Commerce on April 6th. She said the campaign presents “an exciting opportunity for the business community to collaborate with the community of Medford as a whole, to foster an even greater sense of pride in our wonderful community.”

The campaign is being launched by four Medford residents: Susan Fairchild, President of the Medford Farmers Market, Susan Altman, President of Green Medford, and Jack McGoldrick, President of McGoldrick Marketing, and Ms. Scuderi. They are in the process of creating a website and a diverse Advisory Board to oversee the direction of the campaign. If you are a member of the Medford community who has interest and expertise in community development, communication, project organization, or Medford itself, we invite you to put your name forward for consideration for the Advisory Board by sending email to Susan.altman@comcast.net or Susancfairchild@gmail.com.
