Don’t miss the third annual Medford Children’s Art Showcase, on display beginning Saturday, March 10 and continuing through Sunday, March 18. This collaborative and inclusive public exhibit celebrates the creativity and skill of Medford students and art teachers.

The kids are excited to know that their work will be displayed outside of the school environment. The exhibit spotlights arts education in the Medford Public Schools and adds another connection between the schools and the local arts community.

The exhibit has grown from thirty-two participants in 2009 to nearly 300 students this year. Just like the last two exhibits, it features 3rd and 7th graders. This year also includes students from Medford High School.

The Children’s Art Showcase is supported by a grant from the Medford Arts Council, an LCC of the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The exhibit is coordinated by local volunteers.

Visit the Medford Children’s Art Showcase at Meadow Glen Mall in the Center Court atrium. It is free and open to the public during regular Mall hours. You can view a slideshow of last year’s exhibit at www.studiojcd.com/cas.php.
