2-4 Inches of Snow Expected Saturday

After enjoying a mild winter and some minor snow events this week that left only a couple inches of snow, it appears the area is poised for its first significant snow fall of the season on Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, Medford can expect between two and four inches of snow on Saturday. Hardly a blizzard or anything near what was endured last year, but it’s more snow than has fallen so far.

A winter weather advisory is in effect from 2AM to 6PM on Saturday. The majority of the snow is expected to fall between mid-morning and early afternoon on Saturday before tapering off into the evening.

Sunday is expected to be dry and around 32 degrees. There is a chance of rain and sleet late Sunday or early Monday, and Monday could potentially be rainy with a high near fifty degrees, according to the National Weather Service’s local forecast. In fact, most of next week looks very mild, with highs in the forties on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
