House, Senate Pass Supplemental Budget

According to State Representative Sean Garballey (D-Arlington, Medford), on Sunday the House of Representatives and the State Senate voted in favor of a supplemental budget that will bring Medford an additional $741,818 in local aide.

“This is a commitment to cities and towns across the Commonwealth. I have always made local aid one of my top priorities and I was proud to advocate for this on the floor of the House of Representatives,” said Rep. Garballey.

Rep. Garballey said other important programs that received funding in the supplemental budget include support for the state’s inpatient mental health beds, clubhouses and mental health services, services to the Department of Transitional Assistance for needy children, and tuition reimbursement for foster care children.

“I am very happy that many of my priorities were funded and I will continue to advocate for our community,” said Rep. Garballey.
