Challenger Division Game Highlight of Baseball Tourney

The two week-plus Medford Invitational Tournament is wrapping up Monday, and for the fifth straight year, the all-star baseball players took a break from the action for a special game on Sunday.

MIT athletes and volunteers came together to help children with physical and mental disabilities play some ball in a Challenger Division game. There was no score, no strike count, and no outs. Everyone had a chance at bat, to run the bases, and to come home. There was dancing between innings, great fan participation, and several special guests.

The annual baseball tournament will conclude on Monday night with Tewksbury and Medford playing in the Championship game at 7:00PM at Columbus Park.
