John Brewer’s Raises Money for MGH Cancer Reseach

John Brewer’s Tavern, a local restaurant owned by Medford residents Bill and Sue Honeycutt, recently held fundraisers to support Massachusetts General Hospital’s Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Department. According to Bill Honeycutt, fundraisers were held in the restaurant’s Malden and Waltham locations and over $3,000 was raised.

“We were thrilled to raise a total of $3231.00. A portion of the money donated will be used to purchase new toys for the departments playroom and the rest will be used for research,” said Honeycutt.

Bill and Sue are pictured above with Dr. Howard Weinstein, head of the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Department, and some of the management and staff of John Brewer’s.
