Medford Resident to Perform Live at Best Buy

Talented local musician and Medford native Michael Maloney has been selected to participate in Best Buy’s nation-wide live music program that features local talent.

Maloney will perform on Saturday, June 18 at 3:00PM at the Best Buy located at 360 Newbury Street as part “Live A Best Buy.” According to Maloney, he will be performing all original material.

The 2008 Medford High School graduate is a rising senior at UMass Boston, where he is in the Honors Program and is pursuing a double major in Music and Health Science. Maloney co-founded and teaches an a capella club, Sea Sharps, and will be teaching a songwriting and singing workshop for high school students through Citi Performing Arts Center this summer. He recently accompanied Spotlight Production’s Wizard of Oz at MHS in early June.
