Farmers Market Opens Thursday, June 16

Golden Rule Honey, pictured above, is returning for another season.

The fifth season of the Medford Farmers Market will officially kick off on Thursday, June 16. Twenty-three vendors are already confirmed for the market and will provide local fruit, vegetables, beef, pork, eggs, honey, wine, coffee, fresh flowers, baked goods, and more. There will also be jewelry and other locally produced items as well as nutrition and health activities for everyone, including children.

Mayor Michael McGlynn will kick off the new season with a ribbon cutting at 3:00pm. And every hour we will be giving out free Market Money (think Monopoly money), which you can spend at the market in future weeks, said Farmers Market Board President Susan Fairchild.

“We have an amazing 26 vendors coming this season, including the first farm winery to be licensed in Medford,” said Fairchild.

For a list of all the market’s vendors and other information, find them on Facebook, check out www.medfordfarmersmarket.org, or email medfordfarmersmarket@gmail.com.

The market will take place every Thursday, 3:00-7:00PM, from June 16 through October 13 in the Whole Foods Parking lot on Route 16 in Medford.
