Girls Lacrosse Team Closes Season with Victory

Goalie Rachel Keen “stopped a ton of shots,” according to Coach Matt Galusi.

The girls varsity lacrosse team ended their regular season with a victory after defeating North Reading 13-10 on the road Monday.

Coach Galusi said it was a “great team victory.” Olivia Timmins added four goals and an assist, Madie Forcier contributed three goals and two assists, Sophie Karon dropped two goals, Katherine Timmins had three goals and two assists, and Michaela Botticelli added a goal.

Goalie Rachel Keen “led the way in the net” for the Mustangs with seventeen saves.

“The kid was just huge. She set the tone for us and we just fed off of her,” said Coach Galusi.

The win leaves the Mustangs with a 16-4 record- the best ever in team history- as they wait for details on state tournament seedings, which are expected to be released on Thursday.

Closing the regular season with a big victory has left the team on a high note.

“It’s a great way to go into the tournament, flying high,” said Coach Galusi
