The Mustang girls lacrosse team will say good-bye to a talented group of seniors this year. Nine seniors will graduate and they were recognized on Senior Night this past Wednesday.

The seniors were part of an “unbelievable” 16-15 team victory over Haverhill under the lights on Wednesday, according to Head Coach Matt Galusi.

“My kids just battled, we just got it done,” said Coach Galusi.

Olivia Timmins dropped an astounding ten of the Mustangs’ sixteen goals. Her sister Katherine added three goals and three assists, Kathleen Harding contributed a goal and an assist, and Sophie Karon scored two goals. Deanna Cavallaro had “two of the nicest assists I’ve ever seen in my life,” said Coach Galusi.

Goalie Rachel Keene, “doing her best Tim Thomas impersonation,” had sixteen “legit” saves, according to Galusi.

The win brings the Mustangs’ record to 15-4 with one game remaining in the regular season. The girls close the season in North Reading on Monday, May 23.
