Public Interviews for Andrews Principal May 25

Tim BlakePublic interviews of finalists for the Andrews Middle School principal position will be held on Wednesday, May 25 with the Medford School Committee. The interviews will take place in the library at Medford High School (1st floor, 489 Winthrop Street) at 7:00pm.

An advisory committee of parents, teachers, and administrators is currently interviewing candidates and will provide feedback to the administration. Three to four finalists will ultimately be selected to be interviewed on May 25.

After four years at the helm, current Andrews principal Tim Blake is leaving to become principal of the Sky View Middle School in Leominster. Blake came to Medford after serving as an Assistant Principal at Norton Middle School in Norton, MA. Blake also taught seventh grade social studies in Norton and coached football and girls’ basketball at Norton High School.

In a letter posted on the Andrews website, Blake thanked everyone for their support over the last four years in building a strong school community:

“Whether it was re-establishing our PTO, recreating the Site Council, coming to a concert, helping the Drama program, volunteering, or even just ensuring your child completed their work each night, we all did our part to create a school to which parents are proud to send their kids each day,” said Blake.
