Half-pipe with a Message: Smoking is Bad

Traveling Half-pipe Show at MHS Monday

Medford High School students participated in a very unconventional assembly on Monday afternoon. ASA Entertainment, a group that sets up action sports events to deliver a specific message to youth, did an anti-tobacco program Monday by setting up a half-pipe right in the high school parking lot with an inline skater, bike riders, and a skateboarder. They did stunts and jumps and tricks while students learned about the dangers of tobacco. The athletes partner with Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, and the school tours are also sponsored by the US Marines.
