85 Medford Athletes Compete in Boston Marathon

The home town of Boston Marathon Race Director Dave MacGilvray is always well-represented in the race, thanks in part to a large group of Tufts community members. Every year since 2003 around 200 people join Tufts University’s annual President’s Marathon Challenge team, which raises money for nutrition, medical, and fitness programs at Tufts, including research on childhood obesity at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.
Congratulations to each of the Medford marathoners who toughed it out for 26.2 miles during today’s Boston Marathon!
