Mustang Baseball Team Shuts Down Waltham

The varsity baseball team earned their second win of the season with a 17-4 routing of Waltham at Playstead Park on a beautiful Monday afternoon.

Chris Salvati had “another great pitching performance,” said Head Coach Mike Nestor. Andrew Ferrazzani and Joe Pappalardo finished up on the mound for Medford.

The entire lineup hit well. Tom Flores (pictured at right against Winchester last week) led the offensive attack, going 3-4 with four RBI’s. Danny Gilchrist was 2-3 with three RBI’s while Mike Pizzi was 2-4 with three RBI’s.

Next up for the Mustangs is a trip to Stoneham on Friday for a 3:45PM game. Over April vacation the Mustangs head to Malden for a 10AM game on Tuesday, April 19; host Matignon on Wednesday, April 20, at 10AM; and host Framingham on Saturday, April 23 at 12PM.
