Thanks to the generous donations of Medford High School and Medford Vocational Technical High School faculty and staff, local children in need will have gifts under the Christmas tree.

According to Administrative Assistant Jeanette Murphy, who organizes the donation drive each year, $3,400 was raised and will be used to buy presents for thirty-eight children. More money was raised this year than last year and more children are able to be supported.

The idea to do this began five years ago when Superintendent Roy Belson, Assistant Superintendent Beverly Nelson, and the administrative staff decided to give back to the community rather than buy presents for one another.
