Parent Group Organizes Education Forum

Advocating for Medford Public Schools Fall Forum November 16

“Is Education in Massachusetts Fair?”

Are the resources supporting your child’s education adequate? How does the public school funding really work? And how do we ensure it is equitable? Come learn more about statewide education funding and how it affects your child, your child’s school, and your community. All members of the public are invited!

Advocating for Medford Public schools is organizing an educational forum on Tuesday, November 16 at 7:00PM in the Magoun Room of the Medford Public Library, 111 High Street, Medford.

Guest speakers for the event are State Representative Sean Garballey (D-Arlington, Medford) and Massachusetts Municipal Association Director Geoffrey Beckwith.

The forum is sponsored by Advocating for Medford Public Schools (a4mps), a grassroots group of residents working to ensure equal funding and continuous improvement of the citywide schools. This is an excellent opportunity for the public to listen, learn, and share ideas on the important topic.

We also encourage all parents and concerned residents to visit our website at www.advocating4mps.org, and sign up on our Yahoo list serve. By signing up you will be kept informed of news, meetings, and actions you can take part in.
