Mustang Soccer Blanks Malden

The boys varsity soccer team shut out Malden 4-0 on their home (newly artificial) turf on Wednesday afternoon.

John Dumbuya, Jameson Semerzier and Matheus Anastacio scored the Mustangs’ four goals. Dumbuya netted two goals, one in the first half and another in the second. Semerzier and Anastcio also scored in the second half, helping seal Medford’s shut-out victory. The Mustangs controlled the entire game from the onset, and a great defensive effort was exhibited by Rico Altema, Anastacio, Tenzin Choepak and Gilbert Simas.

Congratulations are also in order for the girls varsity soccer team for their 1-0 on-the-road victory over the Golden Tornadoes of Malden. Allesia LaRocca scored the Mustangs’ lone goal, according to Head Coach Rachel Perry.
