Mustang Soccer Alumni Reunion a Success

The Mustang Soccer Alumni Reunion was a fantastic success. Over 125 attended, including former coaches and players spanning back to 1980. Medford’s School Superintendent Roy Belson, a soccer alum himself, also stopped by to enjoy the festivities.

The day started with coffee, pastries and longtime teammate reunions. Then the attention went immediately to the new artificial turf fields. The alumni were transformed back into high school players renewing their Mustang Pride. At 10AM the soccer games began and culminated at 1PM with a three way tie for first place. All soccer fans know that games cannot end in ties…rounds of penalty kicks were under way, pitting three of the recent top rated goalies against their former teammates. After all the PK’s were taken, the two remaining teams played the final game that would choose the winner. The grey team, our most recent graduate alumni, were the victors.

The day ended with a small barbecue, renewed friendships and plans for next year.
