Loving Son of Esvin Merida and Bielka Valdez. Cherished Grandson of Jose and Barbara Valdez and Pablo and Gloria Merida. Devoted Brother of Jazlyn Merida of Medford, and Santana Valdez of Medford. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Graveside service will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the Gaffey Funeral Home, 43 High Street, Medford Square, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rene’s memory may be made to the Rene Valdez Memorial Fund at any TD Bank North branch/location.
