Citizens Give Input on Green Line

Project Land Use Workshop in Medford Wednesday Night

On Wednesday night dozens of people who live near planned Green Line stations for College Avenue and Ball Square attended a Green Line Land Use Workshop organized by state officials.

State transportation officials involved with extending the Green Line to Medford and Somerville sought public input on the proposed stations and their impact on the surrounding area. The workshop took place at the Columbus Elementary School in Medford and gave residents a chance to share knowledge about their neighborhoods and to talk about priorities and concerns for future land use around the planned stations.

According to state officials, workshops in the fall will focus on the train stations.

James Morse, a Medford resident who attended the workshop, said about 100 people were there. Morse snapped the following pictures.
