Basic Rights in Special Education: Join us at 6:30pm on Thursday, May 20 at the Brooks Elementary School, 388 High Street in Medford. This workshop provides families with an introduction to their rights and responsibilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Massachusetts Special Education Law and No Child Left Behind (NCLB). It is designed to help parents learn how to be effective partners with their child’s school, to decide the child’s eligibility for special education, and to plan, make decisions and monitor their child’s progress in school. This event will feature a speaker from the Federation for Children with Special Needs and is co-sponsored with the Arlington SEPAC.

Monthly Executive Board Meetings: Tuesday April 27 and Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30pm at South Medford Fire Station Community Room. All Medford residents are welcome to attend.
