The following announcement is from Tufts University:

Annual Kids’ Day at Tufts offers fun for children in grades K-3

“Under the Sea” theme for this year’s April 10 event

Medford and Somerville children in kindergarten through third grade are invited to attend Kids’ Day at Tufts University on Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on the Medford/Somerville campus.

More than 400 kids typically attend this free, fun-filled day of activities, including kiddy carnival rides, entertainment by Tufts student organizations, game booths, lunch and more. Tufts health services and public safety staff will be on hand to help ensure the well-being of participants.

This year’s theme, “Under the Sea,” will feature various games and sports, as well as a chemistry presentation and other fun competitions.

Kids’ Day is presented by the Leonard Carmichael Society (LCS), Tufts’ largest undergraduate, student-run organization. Founded in 1958, LCS oversees approximately 40 community service groups at Tufts, focusing on issues concerning children, the environment, hunger and homelessness, and health. Now in its 47th year, Kids’ Day is the largest community service event at Tufts.

Information and registration packets have been sent home with children in the Medford and Somerville public schools. Paper registration forms are due by Friday, March 5. The online registration deadline is Friday, March 26.
