MHS Boys Soccer Wraps Up Season

– Allison Goldsberry

The boys varsity soccer team is wrapping up its season with a busy week of some tough non-league competition.

The Mustangs tied with Newton North, 2-2, on Monday and fell to Billerica, 4-1, on Tuesday and Dracut, 5-1, on Wednesday.

During the Newton North game, Medford came from behind in the second half to tie the game, which resulted in a final score of 2-2. Senior captain Ariel Lobo scored both of the Mustangs’ goals, first a penalty kick and one quick attack goal. On Wednesday, Jeff Mwangi scored the Mustangs’ lone goal against Dracut.

Medford’s record is 4 wins, 8 losses and 6 ties for the season.
