Whether home or away, whenever the Medford and Somerville boys soccer teams take the field, it’s always a hard-fought battle. This time, Medford took on the Highlanders on enemy turf and came home with a 2-1 victory on Friday, September 11.

Senior captain Ariel Lobo started off the Mustang offense when he scored just two minutes into the game. John Dumbuya scored the second goal near the end of the first half and the Mustang defense held off Somerville for the rest of the game.

It was incorrectly reported that the boys face Somerville again on Friday. The team is off this week and faces Malden at home on Wednesday, September 23.
