Mustang Football Kicks Off Season with Home Game

Led by former Everett assistant football coach Rico Dello Iacono, the Medford Mustang football team will officially open up their fall 2009 season at home under the lights.

The kickoff against Revere on Friday, September 18 at 7PM is a mere 38 days, 9 hours, and 16 minutes away, according to a clock on the team’s webpage. The team will scrimmage against Peabody, Malden Catholic, and Wilmington before opening the season with a former Greater Boston League rival.

The Mustangs face a very similar lineup of teams as last season, with non-league games scheduled with Newton South, North Andover, Bishop Fenwick, and Austin Prep. They will take on GBL teams Somerville and Malden at home and will hit the road against Cambridge and Everett. Click here to see the full fall schedule.

Team tryouts are August 24 from 9AM-12PM and 3PM-6PM at Medford High School.
