Rep. Garballey Supports Child Abuse Prevention

State Rep Sean Garballey

State Representative Sean Garballey (D-Arlington, Medford) recently demonstrated his continued support for child abuse prevention by attending the Step Up For Prevention ceremony held by Children’s Trust Fund (CTF) at the State House recently.

The ceremony included a display of 700 children’s shoes that represent the average number of children abused each week in Massachusetts. Representative Garballey joined Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray in proclaiming April as Child Abuse Prevention Month during the event.

CTF provides funding to several organizations that provide parenting education and support services in Arlington and Medford, including the Arc of East Middlesex, Medford Family Center, Healthy Families Melrose/Wakefield, and Health Families of West Suburban.
