Medford School Committee member Ann Marie Cugno was recently selected as Vice-Chair of the committee.

Cugno was nominated by colleague Alfred Pompeo at the January 26 meeting.

Cugno has been on the School Committee since 2005. She is the first woman to serve as Vice-Chair of the School Committee since the 1990’s. Current members Paulette Van der Kloot and Lena DiGiantommaso each served one year as Vice-Chair about a decade ago.

Cugno is the parent of four boys, three of whom currently attend Medford’s schools. Her oldest son, Michael, is a graduate of Medford High School and is currently attending college.
