Suspect Arrested in Armed Bank Robbery

Homeless Man Allegedly Robbed Eastern Bank

Medford Police have arrested and charged a homeless man in connection with an armed bank robbery on January 6.

Michael Giles, 32, was arrested without incident at the Econo Lodge in Malden shortly after the robbery after Medford and Malden police, along with State Police, staked out the motel after determining he was in the area.

Giles is also wanted in connection with a bank robbery in New Hampshire.

Medford police have arrested and charged Giles for an armed robbery that took place at the Eastern Bank on Locust Street.
