The Medford City Council will start the new year with new leadership, with City Councilors Breanna Lungo-Koehn and Michael Marks selected to serve as president and vice-president.

Councilor Lungo-Koehn served as Council vice-president for 2008 alongside Council president Stephanie Muccini Burke.

Councilor Marks previously served as Council vice-president with Councilor Burke.

“In the upcoming 2009 session I look forward to addressing some of the many pressing issues in our community such as the Green Line Extension, maintaining city services in tough fiscal times, the revitalization of Medford Square and the creation of a city wide parking enforcement department,” said Councilor Marks.
