Fulton School Up for Sale

Old School to be Developed into Condos

– Allison Goldsberry

Another one of Medford’s old school buildings will be developed into condominiums.

The Medford City Council voted to put the school out to bid for a minimum of $750,000.  According to City Solicitor Mark Rumley, the new condo development will contain up to eleven condominiums and will stay within the original footprint of the building.

According to City Councilor Fred Dello Russo, a member of the School Reuse Committee, neighbors met with the committee last week and those in attendance seemed satisfied with the future plans for the school.

Councilor Dello Russo said two developers have so far expressed interest in the building.

The Fulton School, located on Fulton Street in the Heights section of Medford, was formerly used as an elementary school and as a school for special needs students.
