Salem Street East Cambridge Savings Bank Hit

Medford Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery on Thursday afternoon.

Police say the young male pictured at right robbed the East Cambridge Savings Bank, located at 243 Salem Street, around 4:49PM Thursday afternoon. He allegedly walked into the bank, demanded cash from the teller, and fled on foot. According to witnesses, the man did not appear to be armed, and though he said he had a car, he fled on foot in an unknown direction.

A victim said the suspect looks familiar and might even be a customer of the bank. The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white male in his mid ’20’s. He is well-groomed and is believed to have brown hair. He wore a navy blue Red Sox baseball cap and a blue jacket.
