Celebrating Italian Heritage Month in Medford
October is officially set aside as a celebration of all things Italian and the many contributions Italians and Italian-Americans have made to Massachusetts communities, Medford included.
Celebrate Medford’s Italian-American heritage at the Medford Public Library this month:
> Check out a collection displaying the scenes, art, history, and food of Italy, loaned by Sandy DiRenzo.
> Join Medford resident Francesco Castellano for a lecture on the opera on Wednesday, October 8, at 7PM.
> See a presentation by Carol Bonomo Albright on the best of Italian Americana on Thursday, October 23, at 7:30PM.
Also, don’t miss the annual “Taste of Italy” event hosted by the Medford Kiwanis at Medford’s Accardi Imports on Tuesday, October 7. Enjoy the best food, wine, and pastries the Boston area has to offer. Tickets are $35, with $5 donated to local food pantries. For tickets contact Kelly Catallo at 781-844-5457.
