Students Inducted into National Honor Society

Medford High School National Honor Society

Thirty-six students from Medford High School were inducted into membership of the Phi Alpha Epsilon Chapter of the National Honor Society in a ceremony held in the Caron Theater on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Members were selected by a Faculty Council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. The senior members also honored three faculty members, Douglas Bowen-Flynn, Joseph DiFranco, and Jonathan Wilson, for their inspiration and example of these qualities.

Class of 2009 President Zachary Gillette, Vice-President Christopher Vaudo, Secretary Matthew Connor, Treasurer Keerthana Gnanapradeepan, Student Council Representative Catherine Elia, Joviane Bellegarde, Angela Brathwaite, Zeena Brown, Brenna Callahan, Christina Cardone, Lisa Cardone, Stephanie Carteiro, Victoria Carvalho, Brett Cavallaro, Matthew Cipollone, Guilherme Marllon de Almeida, Christine Deasy, Alexis Donnaruma, Hawasatu Dumbuya, Justin Goguen, Morgan Kennedy, Meghan Keogh, Lauren Laskey, Vanessa Latson, Rachel Le, Michelle Ly, Jenna Mazzone, Lisa Moreira, Ann Parker, Abigail Seidel, Susan Trinh, Stephanie William.

The National Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students, and members are expected to continue their exemplary contributions to the school and community. This year’s chapter provides a free tutoring service for MHS students, established a Peer Mentoring Program for incoming freshman, and organized a unique and original fundraiser this year with the production of MHS’s first original music CD: Re:Verb, which is now available for purchase from the NHS.
